K-Electric Takes ‘Better Late Than Never’ Measure For Karachi

The locals of Karachi have appreciated the electric supply for replacing 10,000 dilapidated poles across the city

K-Electric has finally started thinking for the people of Karachi as it has replaced 10,000 obsolete electric poles.

The measure has been taken to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.

KE officials said that the operation to replace dilapidated poles is in continuation despite the resistance being faced in various areas of the metropolis.

They added that some unlawful elements use KE’s dilapidated infrastructure for unlawful activities.

One such instance occurred when a gun was recovered from inside a dilapidated electric pole at the time of replacement.

Meanwhile, the locals of Karachi termed the action as ‘better later than never’. They said dilapidated electric poles claim lives during monsoon season every year.

They also demanded other required measures to end the menace of load-shedding from the city.
