Shah Finally Moved to Jail After 2 Years in Hospital

Former opposition leader in the national assembly, Khursheed Shah, has been finally shifted to central jail after spending two years at NICVD Sukkur.

He was moved to the central jail via an ambulance by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader was held by NAB in September 2019 in assets beyond means case and he was hospitalized a month later.

The anti-graft watchdog filed a reference against the ex-opposition leader in December.

In July 2021, Shah then moved to Sindh High Court (SHC) but it was turned down as he was not imprisoned yet.

The ex-opposition leader filed a bail petition in the Supreme Court (SC) in August.

Further, PTI leader Tahir Shah had moved to SHC against Shah’s stay in the hospital.
