KP CM Didn’t Show up in Assembly This Year
Two members did not bother to attend any of the meetings while two MPAs attended all
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan showed disinterest in the assembly proceedings during the ongoing parliamentary year as he didn’t show up.
Some 33 sessions of the KP assembly held during the parliamentary year and two members did not bother to attend any of the meetings while two MPAs attended all sessions.
KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan did not attend any of the sittings in the third parliamentary year of his government.

The Opposition Leader in KP Assembly Akram Khan Durrani took part in only four proceedings during the year.
PTI’s Mohammad Ali Tarakai did not visit the assembly once while PTI’s Muhammad Shafiq remained most punctual and attended all 33 meetings.

Among the provincial ministers, Atif Khan topped the list of absentees as he visited the assembly only once while Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Shahram Khan Tarakai partook only four proceedings.
The parliamentary leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Sher Azam Wazir, secured the first position among the parliamentary leaders of political parties with the highest absents.
PTI’s Abdul Salam Afridi remained second as he attended 32 sessions while the ruling party’s Liaquat Ali Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Prisons Shafi Ullah, Provincial Minister Fazle Shakoor Khan and PTI’s Pakhtoon Yar Khan turned up in 31 sessions of KP assembly.
Female lawmakers
On women’s reserved seats, Naeema Kishwar Khan from JUI-F attended all 33 sessions.
Nighat Orakzai from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), PTI’s Sumaira Shams, Humaira Khatoon from Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Shagufta Malik from Awami National Party (ANP) remained second as they all showed up in 32 meetings.
JI’s Rehana Ismail and PTI’s Asia Khattak secured third position among women lawmakers as her attendance was 31 of 33.
The most irregular among female legislators was PTI’s Maliha Ali Asghar Khan who attended only 3 sessions followed by Nadia Sher of the same party who partook in only 4.
Lesgislators with good attendance
ANP’s Waqar Ahmed Khan, PTI’s Azam Khan, Syed Ahmed Hussain Shah and Khaliq-ur-Rehman all attended 30 sessions in the ongoing parliamentary year.
The lawmakers who attended 29 sessions include PTI’s Taj Muhammad Tarand, Babar Saleem Swati, Provincial Minister Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Muhammad Zahoor, Ajmal Khan, Aisha Naeem, Asiya Asad, Sumaia Bibi, party’s minority member Wilson Wazir as well as ANP’s Khush Dil Khan and Salahuddin.
PTI’s Sharafat Ali remained present in 28 sessions while PML-N’s Sardar Khan, PTI’s Azizullah and Fazal Hakim turned up in 23 sessions.
