Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the initiation of a railway train facility to connect Nowshera, Charsadda, and Mardan districts with Peshawar Valley.
As per official documents, a feasibility study will be completed within a year to complete 103 kilometers long railway project.
To join the districts with Peshawar, a 27 kilometers new track for the train service will be constructed besides the restoration of the existing one which is 75 kilometers long.

The document also disclosed that a 33-kilometer-long section of the ML-1 project would also be utilized.
The railway project will have 15 stations with up to the mark facilities for the passengers.
The stations will be built in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Risalpur, and Nowshera, while terminals in Swabi, Jahangira, and Dargai will be added in the second phase.
The train will run at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour on the track.
