As the KP IG faces the threat of being sacked, he has made transfers in the top hierarchy of the provincial police department.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General (IG) Sanaullah Abbasi appointed the basic pay scale (BPS) 21 AIG Headquarters Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed as AIG Investigation.
BPS-20 official Feroz Shah has been appointed as the CPO while BPS-20 official Kashif Alam will serve as AIG Headquarters.
BPS-19 Qasim Ali Khan has been posted as the new District Police Officer (DPO) Karak from DPO Swat. BPS-19 Irfan Ali Khan has been appointed as a CPO.
BPS-19 Dilawar Bangash has been deployed as Swat DPO while BPS-18 official Ikramullah Khan has been appointed as Hango DPO.
No appointment has been done on the seat of Hazara DIG and Yasir Khan Afridi has been serving as an interim.
The rumors of a rift between KP IG Sanaullah Abbasi and KP Chief Minister emerged. KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan informed Prime Minister Imran Khan that he was dissatisfied with the performance of the IG Sanaullah Abbasi.

Sources said that the KP CM Mahmood Khan has expressed reservations over the omnipotence of the IG and the rift between them has reached the apex.
It added that the provincial police chief did not even take Mahmood Khan in confidence on inter-departmental transfers while many competent policemen were expelled from the province.
After fresh transfers in the police department of KP by IG, it is expected that both officials may fall apart further.
