KPC’s Anti-SOPs Iftar Vs Barkha Dutt’s Covid Battle
Twitter users were surprised to see that everyone was equally breaching SOPs at KPC events

India and Pakistan portrayed two astonishing situations involving journalists. Karachi Press Club (KPC) organized an iftar party where none of the invited guests were following SOPs while on the other side of the border, senior journalist Barkha Dutt tirelessly reported about covid-19 situation and also lost her father.
As the second wave of coronavirus entered India, with every passing day, the country is reporting an increase in the number of deaths due to artificial oxygen scarcity.
Whereas, in Pakistan, the cases are also ascending as the third wave of coronavirus has already hit the country.
Two separate events were arranged by KPC as President Fazil Jamili posted a group photo of female journalists who were honored for their outstanding contributions in the fields of print, electronic and digital media.

The kindest, loveliest man I have every known, my father Speedy, lost the COVID battle and died this morning. When I took him to hospital, against his will, I promised I would bring him home in two days. I couldn’t keep my word. I failed. He never broke a promise he made to us pic.twitter.com/ZUDwoa1LDa
