ECP invites Governor KPK on March 14 for consultation on election date in province
Governor House Peshawar received letter of Election Commission, There will be a final consultation between Governor and Chief Election Commissioner regarding election date in province
PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday invited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Governor Haji Ghulam Ali for consultations regarding the date of March 14 general elections in the province.
Consultation between Election Commission of Pakistan and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali Khan will start at 2 pm in Islamabad and the date of KPK elections will be announced.
Governor House Peshawar received the letter from the Election Commission. There will be a final consultation between the Governor and the Chief Election Commissioner regarding the election date in the province.

On Thursday itself, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had initiated legal action against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Governor Haji Ghulam Ali in connection with the “delay in announcing the election date” in the province.
Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former provincial minister Taimur Khan Jhagra has said that “Governor KP was sent a notice by Barrister Qazi Muhammad Anwar. Because the governor held the elections despite consulting the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Date not announced.
Taimur Khan Jhagra said, “We have sent a legal notice to the Governor of KP and started legal action against him. More strategy against Haji Ghulam Ali will be arranged soon.
