Lawyer Khadija Siddiqui’s House Hit by Bullet

Lawyer Khadija Siddiqui, who was stabbed 23 times by her classmate back in 2016, fears for her life now as her house was attacked by unidentified gunmen in Lahore on Saturday.

Earlier in July, Khadija Siddiqui condemned the early release of her attacker, Shah Hussain, from jail and time and again warned that her life is in danger after the release.

The suspect pleaded guilty in 2018 to stabbing the female lawyer 23 times and was sentenced to five-year rigorous imprisonment.

However, it came to the fore that Shah Hussain only spent 3.5 years behind the bar and didn’t serve the remaining period owing to technical remissions.

A few weeks after his release, Khadija’s house was hit by a bullet while she was alone inside.

She took to her Twitter and penned down the incident while tagging Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Today Around 7 pm a bullet was fired through my car’s bonnet which was parked inside the house. I was alone in the house. I consider this a clear threat to me and my family”.

Her tweet came under the fire as most of the users started victim-blaming and claimed that it was a stray bullet.

Meanwhile, several comments sprung up in support of Khadija as well.
