Makers and Defenders of Law Go Berserk in Islamabad

With ruckus in the national assembly (NA) and vandalizing block of Islamabad high court’s chief justice, the makers and defenders of the law cause disruption in the federal capital as they went berserk in their respective domains.

After an unruly session of parliament last week, NA Speaker Asad Qaiser issued show-cause notices to three lawmakers.

The notices have been served to PPP’s Naveed Qamar, PML-N’s Hamid Hameed, and ruling PTI’s Attaullah Khan.

The show-cause notices have been issued after examination of the footage and photos captured during the commotion.

NA Speaker Asad Qaiser said that there would be an action against the legislators who violated the sanctity of the parliament.

Meanwhile, the defenders of the law went berserk and vandalized blocks in the premises of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday.

They vandalized buildings on the court’s premises and even intruded the block of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Athar Minallah.

A case has been registered against 21 lawyers including four women law practitioners involved in the rampage.

In a circular issued by IHC, it was said that a reference would be filed in the Islamabad Bar Council (IBC) for suspension of licenses of the suspected lawyers.

It added the case against the law practitioners has been registered while 21 lawyers including four females have been nominated in the first information report (FIR). The sections of terrorism have been included in too.

The circular said that Islamabad police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.

Further, contempt of court proceedings would also be initiated against the suspects.

Meanwhile, after the unrest in the IHC’s premises, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah suspended the cause-list of today.

Within a week’s span, the makers and defenders of the law went berserk in Islamabad and harmed the sanctity and honor of their professions.
