Maryam Nawaz Had Heavy Crosses to Bear in Lahore

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz came across peculiar and bizarre situations as she hunkered down in Lahore before PDM's Sunday meeting

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz came across bizarre and peculiar situations during her presence in Lahore to warm up workers before the much-anticipated rally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in the same city on Sunday.

PML-N is in trials and tabulations as the party’s top brass is facing a difficult situation.

The party’s supremo Nawaz Sharif is in self-exile in London, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif is behind the bars while other leaders are facing different cases too.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz was leading a rally in the Shahdra area of Lahore when someone a stick hit her in the face.

She immediately left the site after the incident.

Later, she went on Twitter to explain that she had finished her speech when a flying stick struck her. She believed that it was not intentional and happened by mistake.

Maryam Nawaz came across another bizarre situation when a rally participant touched her back as she was returning from after addressing the rally.

The suspect was held and beaten up by the security guards and PML-N workers for his ostensibly intentional act.

In September, Maryam Nawaz received a punch by her security guard as she reached Islamabad High Court (IHC) for a case hearing.

As she entered the court premises, a large number of PML-N workers flocked around Maryam to see a glimpse of their leader.

However, when Maryam’s security guards were pushing the crowd away, one of the guards tried to punch a party worker who was trying to approach Maryam. But, it narrowly missed the target and hit the party leader instead.

The blow was hard as the PML-N vice president screamed with pain.

Maryam’s husband Captain (R) Safdar also expressed anger at the security guard and then escorted his wife.
