Moonis Elahi exposes ‘neutral’ status of General Bajwa

Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) senior leader and son of Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi revealed former Army Chief General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s ‘neutral’ status.

Moonis Elahi revealed that he supported Imran Khan during the no-confidence motion at the request of the former army chief.

While giving an interview to anchorperson Meher Bukhari, Moonis Elahi openly defended General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa and openly expressed his disagreement over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) criticism of him.

He said that the current campaign against General Bajwa is wrong, General Bajwa supported PTI, but even during the no-confidence motion and he told him to go with Imran Khan.

He revealed that “General Bajwa was not bad at all in my eyes. If he was bad, he would not have told me to go with Imran Khan. At the time it was being decided whether we should go here or there, “Both parties were ready. There was an offer from PTI, Nawaz Sharif from PDM, everyone knows that my inclination was towards PTI, there is no doubt about it.”

He further said that “Father also spoke to him (former army chief), and even then he said the same thing, my wish is that you go there”.

Munis Elahi said, “If that person was so bad, why does he say you go here on this important occasion, if he was against Khan Sahib or against PTI, he only had to make a gesture, then we would have gone here.” . He said that if General Bajwa was part of the no-confidence motion, why would he ask us to go to that side, General Bajwa did everything for PTI and now that he is gone, PTI people are talking against him. are running a trend against them, this is not a good thing, General Bajwa had turned the tide.

He said that there are many misunderstandings in today’s history, if Tehreek-e-Insaaf thinks that Bajwa is even half per cent guilty, then sit with me and I will tell you where it was not his fault.

Being neutral is a different thing, but General Bajwa supported the PTI government a lot and also stood with the national interest.

Regarding mistrust and American conspiracy, Munis Elahi said that if General Bajwa had any kind of role, why would he tell us to go here if his aim was to relieve him and he knows that these ten votes are important votes. Why are you doing this? Regarding the regime change, he said that there was something wrong with it. A little bit from every side. It is certain that the army has become apolitical.

Munis Elahi said that the courts are neutral, the establishment is not interfering in the affairs of the Punjab government, nor does the establishment have any role in the FIR of the attack on Imran Khan.

He said that the establishment is non-political at the moment, we even asked PTI to give any of their policemen to file FIRs, but if they do, they did not give such a policeman. Munis Elahi further said that Zardari has not contacted us and neither will we.
