KARACHI: Annoyed by violent street crimes in Karachi, the citizens have surrounded two muggers in the Korangi area while one of the criminals opened fire on his accomplice while trying to disperse the people.
Karachiites have sieged two muggers who were snatching assets from a citizen in Korangi 2.5 Number area. The residents showed courage and surrounded the muggers on the scene.
The muggers tried to break the citizens’ circle by aerial firing, however, one of the muggers gunned down an accomplice when he was trying to shoot the people encircled them.
Sources said that both muggers were drunk and one of them gunned down his accomplice while trying to disperse the crowd to flee from the scene.
The second mugger was caught by the citizens who handed him over to the police after torturing him.
Sources added that five rounds of bullets were recovered from the crime scene, whereas, the motorcycle used by the street criminals was also left alongside the road.
The killed mugger and his accomplices were not identified so far. Rescue sources said that the mugger’s body and his wounded accomplice were shifted to the hospital.
