Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator and senior lawyer Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar raised questions about the hidden powers behind the victimisation of journalists. His tweet came at a time when the anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan is facing court proceedings in nearly two dozen cases filed against him.

In a Twitter message, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said, “True that when other journalists were being victimised and were putting their lives at risk for freedom of expression, some from their own ranks chose to ridicule them.”

He added, “Question worth considering is who’s behind all of this? Poor civvies are as irrelevant now as they were then!”

Yesterday, a local court in Rawalpindi ordered to remove all the provisions of terrorism registered by the FIA ​​in the arrest of anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan.

Anchorperson Imran Riaz’s lawyer had filed a petition in the local court of Rawalpindi against the arrest of Imran Riaz Khan.

According to media reports, Chakwal police took custody of Imran Riaz Khan and took him to the city, as more than 20 cases have been registered against him in different cities.
