Naval Chief Heads Command and Staff Conference

The Command and Staff Conference of the Pakistan Navy concluded at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad. It was chaired by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.

The matters related to the geostrategic milieu, national security, operational preparedness, training, and welfare of troops were reviewed.

The Chief of the Naval Staff was briefed on various ongoing and future development projects of the Pakistan Navy.

The forum reviewed evolving maritime security situation after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and reaffirmed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K) for the rightful struggle for self-determination.

The Naval Chief expressed confidence over the high state of operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy to meet all challenges.

The forum also discussed the covid-19 situation and expressed concern over the spike in cases as well as reiterated strict compliance to SOPs in line with government policies.

The Command & Staff Conference is the apex decision-making body of the Pakistan Navy in which Chief of the Naval Staff along with Principal Staff Officers and Field Commanders undertake a strategic review of Pakistan Navy’s policies and Plans as well as the prevailing security environment.
