New Posts Created in Tribal Districts After Staff Shortage
The vacant seats in the district education offices include positions of SDEOs, account assistants, computer operators, drivers, and watchmen
The merged tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) still have several vacant seats in the education department from basic pay scale (BPS) 3 to 17.
Therefore, the provincial government has created some 237 new posts from BPS 3 to 17 in district education offices (DEOs) of Newly Merged Areas (NMAs).
The vacant seats include positions of SDEOs, account assistants, computer operators, drivers, and watchmen while most of them are in Kurram, Khyber, and Waziristan districts.

Sources said the administrative affairs in the education department in merged districts were getting affected due to a shortage of staff.
It added that the KP government couldn’t initiate or complete several projects due to the absence of required officials.
Sources said most of the schools in the tribal districts didn’t have a watchman to oversee security.
