Clearing quandaries, the government has given the green signal to the British Council to start Cambridge exams in Pakistan from July 26 and well-placed sources of News360 had already previously disclosed that the the exams would likely be held in Pakistan before November.
Now, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood took to his Twitter handle and disclosed that the government has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the British Council to hold O-Level exams from July 26 to August 6.
The minister said that the move would facilitate O-Level students to start preparations for A-Level or local intermediate board exams from September.
We issued an NOC today to British Council allowing it to hold special O level exams from July 26 to August 6. This will facilitate O level students to start A level or FA/Fsc from September. The minister also shared the photo of the NOC sent to Cambridge.

Although dynamic campaigns ran against Cambridge exams in Pakistan amid the coronavirus situation and many celebrities became part of it too.
At one point, the federal education minister was bashed for pursuing the case of exams against the interests of the students and he was accused of putting thousands of lives at risk to achieve personal agenda.
However, the education minister remained ardent to hold O-Level exams instead of compiling results on Teachers Assessed Grades (TAD) as he believed that prolong closure of educational institutions had negatively impacted the students who were shirking from appearing in exams.
As stated by Shafqat Mehmood, the British Council has given the nod too and it has started preparations in this regard.
