No-confidence motion: PML-Q to show cards on voting day, claims Syed Talat Hussain

Syed Talat Hussain has claimed that PML-Q will show its cards on the day of voting on the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan.

ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Syed Talat Hussain has claimed that Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) will show its cards on the day of voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan following the directives of the ‘third party’

Without naming the power matrix of the country, Syed Talat Hussain claimed that the allies of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by PML-Q wanted to show their cards “inside the assembly” on the day of “no confidence vote counting”.

He added the allies do not want to give the impression that a third party has asked them to ditch the government which is resulting in a delay in their final decision.

On the other hand, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s recent statements showed its inclination on the political situation.

Giving a very clear message, the PML-Q top leader said, “We have 17 lawmakers, including MQM-P and BAP. And some of them are from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and they are also in safe custody.”

“There are 10-12 lawmakers who had met us and the government is also searching for them but failed to reach them. We know where they are.”

He said that instead of bringing one million people to Islamabad, the government should look for 10 to 12 people. “The government should have understood after 3.5 years not to mention what they cannot give to the people.”

To a question, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi replied that Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid did not know that everything would change after March 25.

Political analysts said that Syed Talat Hussain’s claims are contrary to the impression of the power matrix becoming neutal on the political front as even PPP, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and the government allies are telling the same thing.

They questioned about how PML-Q will show its cards on the day of vote on the no-confidence.
