The narrative of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Vote to Izzat Do [Honour the vote], has been laid to rest by the opposition collectively at the Sindh House after the discovery of at least 24 Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) showed their loyalties and took shelter at the Sindh House in Islamabad ahead of voting on the no-confidence motion.
On the political developments yesterday, PML-N top leaders, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, kept a complete silence after witnessing the burial of the ‘Vote Ko Izzat Do’ narrative.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry had given statements a few days back in which they have accused government MNAs of horse-trading at the Sindh House Islamabad for the past several days.
Meanwhile, Speaker Punjab Assembly and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had claimed on Wednesday in an interview to a private TV channel that they have traced the locality of 10 or 12 missing lawmakers. He had revealed that the lawmakers were kept in safe custody.
Opposition reviving Changa Manga politics at Sindh House?
Sources told News360, PM Imran Khan had obtained video evidence of the activities going on in Sindh House a few days ago by a sub-ordinate institution.
However, the opposition took the preemptive step to publically announce the presence of the lawmakers from the treasury and the opposition at the Sindh House before the federal government started an operation to recover the legislators.
The government alleged that the MNAs had received Rs180 million each to support the opposition’s cause. However, the concerned MNAs denied the allegations.
