Opposition leaders, media critics did not condemn US so far

After Pakistan’s protest before US for interfering in internal affairs, opposition and media critics did not make condemnation statements.

ISLAMABAD: After Pakistan’s foreign ministry recorded protest before the US government for interfering in internal affairs, the opposition leaders and media critics of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Prime Minister Imran Khan did not condemn the United States (US) as yet.

The top leaders of the opposition parties, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and others included in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), have chosen to keep a complete silence over US alleged intervention into internal affairs of the country.

Despite its acceptance by the National Security Committee (NSC) and a protest lodged before the US government, the opposition leaders have continued to prove the threat letter a lie. They did not condemn the US intervention into Pakistani politics so far but choose to expedite the efforts to topple the PTI government led by PM Khan.

The premier had become successful to build a strong narrative in the country that his government is being toppled after a conspiracy made by the United States (US) with the support of the past rulers including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, opposition parties and a faction of the establishment.

Ahead of the voting on the opposition’s no-trust move, the premier had decided to make more surprises in the coming day regarding the lettergate issue.

Sources had said that Imran Khan will make more surprises regarding the issue of the threat letter. They added that the power matrix has tried to stop Imran Khan from following his plan to reveal the contents of the threat letter in phases.

It was learnt that Imran Khan decided against the suggestion of a power matrix, refusing to accept any pressure to make the content of the threat letter public in which a foreign plot was exposed against the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

In his speech, the premier had rejected to surrender and resign from his office following the opposition’s no-trust move and foreign conspiracies against Pakistan for adopting an independent foreign policy.
