‘Our hands are tied; PML-N forcedly given govt’, claims Javed Latif
PML-N stalwart Javed Latif has claimed that their hands are tied and his political party was forced to come into power.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Javed Latif has claimed that their hands are tied and his political party was forced to come into power.
During an interview with senior journalist Javed Chaudhry, Javed Latif claimed that the coalition government was seemingly powerless to take independent decisions. To a question, he claimed, “Our hands are tied, we are forced to rule the country.”
When questioned about taking action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, he said that he thinks that the PTI chief is still ladla [blue-eyed person] for some sides. The host questioned Latif whether he was talking about any specific institution that is backing Imran Khan.
Latif immediately rejected and said that he is a weak person and he cannot give such statements.
Javed Chaudhry questioned Latif for what reason PML-N is still in the government. To this, Latif replied, “We are weak that is why we are in the government. The host questioned whether they were forced to come into power. The PML-N leader admitted that they were forced to rule the country.
He gave a new logic for coming into power that if PML-N do not take initiative to forcedly come into power then Imran Khan would turn Pakistan into Sri Lanka which he has claimed multiple times.
Analysts said that Javed Latif should further clarify his position about how they were forced to accept the government and who has forced them to come into power. They added that Latif’s claims were also absurd.
They said if PML-N came into power to improve the political and economic situation in the country then why the turmoil has further increased after the ouster of the PTI government.
