Darakhshan police officials said that the incident involving two pet dogs occurred on June 16 in Phase-6 of the Defence area.
The victim was walking on the street when the animals launched an attack on him while the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows that both dogs were unleashed.
A horrendous sight was witnessed when the animals continued mauling the victim for over a minute even though the caretakers made several attempts to grasp them.
Notably, the incidents of dog attacks, particularly by stray dogs, have risen unprecedently in Sindh province.
Despite it, the public hospitals in the province face an acute shortage of rabies vaccine.
According to a report by the Sindh health department, more than 150,000 dog bite cases were reported in the province during first nine months of 2020 while at least 17 deaths occurred due to the same reason.
In 2019, the situation remained similar when around 200,000 dog attack cases surfaced in Sindh.
