Pak-India Sialkot Border With Verses of Allama Iqbal

Indian side of the border has been painted in three colors of “Tiranga” with the wording of “Saarey Jahan Say Acha”

Allama Mohammad Iqbal, a poet, philosopher, lawyer, theorist, and politician from British India with his eternal pieces of poetry has been the most acclaimed poet of the sub-continent, and the Sialkot border has been the portrayal of love for Iqbal from both Pakistan and India.

The city of Sialkot has a very absorbing view at the Pak-Indo border. Along with the flags of Pakistan and India, two separate verses of the poet Allama Iqbal have been written on both sides.

The Indian side of the border has been painted in three colors of “Tiranga” with the wording of “Saarey Jahan Say Acha”, however, Pakistan’s side having inscribed“Muslim Hain Hum Watan Hai Sara Jahan Humara” with the green and white flag.

Saarey Jahan Sy Acha was written by Allama Iqbal in 1904 and was published in a magazine named “Zamana”. However, the one on Pakistan’s border was written by the poet in 1911.

The picture of the Sialkot border was shared by the Pakistani journalist Makhdoom Shahab-ud-Din on Twitter.

It has been an honor for Pakistan that the poetry of Allama Iqbal has been inscribed on the Pak-India border in Sialkot.
