The government handed over the vandalized Hindu temple in Rahim Yar Khan after restoration a day before Pakistan celebrated the national day for minorities.

The mob had vandalized the temple in Bhong town of Rahim Yar Khan district in Punjab.

MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, who is the patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, also visited the worship site and performed rituals with dozens of other Hindus.

Sources claim that the main cause of the mob violence was in reaction to the alleged desecration of a Muslim seminary in the town.

The videos of the dreadful incident had gone viral on the internet and the whole nation joined the chain of censuring it.
