Middle Eastern budget flight Air Arabia and Pakistan’s Lakson Group joined hands for a low-cost airline, Fly Jinnah, and the netizens got engaged in gratuitous criticism.
The airline will serve on domestic and international routes but the glad tiding came under superfluous flak of the social media users.

Most of the users opined that using the name Jinnah for a carrier is erroneous.
Stop dragging Great Jinnah into everything. Peeps boycott #FlyJinnah until the airline changes its name https://t.co/OqtePiqBhN

On the other hand, a few questioned whether Fly Jinnah took approval from the head of the state for using the name of the father of the nation.
Fly Jinnah for an airline’s name – seems to be in poor taste to run a commercial venture using the Quaid’s name – wonder if someone will file a petition against this and if that happens how the courts will respond

Hey @SECPakistan did Fly Jinnah get written approval for using the name of the past Pakistani head of state? Should a commercial venture be allowed to add the name Jinnah to their commercial venture and benefit off the goodwill? https://t.co/KVXeql3lxb pic.twitter.com/HmTZn3LCQc

Not only this, a lot of the netizens claimed it as ‘weird branding’.

Meanwhile, a few users landed in support of the airline and claimed that if there can be a road, an airport, stadium and a newspaper with the same name then, why not an airline.
Notably, the flight will initially be based in Karachi to serve a range of domestic routes and then gradually will enhance its network.
The airline is to serve people with a low-cost business model.
