Pakistani former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said that Pakistan has to stand by the Afghan people without comprising its position as the United States (US) troops left Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan after nearly two decades.

The former minister added that Pakistan shall prioritize itself before Afghanistan and advised Prime Minister Imran Khan neither to wait for a call from the US President Joe Biden nor politicize the matter by giving critical remarks.

Talking to News360, Hina Rabbani Khar commented that Pakistan should limit its assistance to Afghanistan now and support the decisions Afghans would make for themselves.
