Fazl-ur-Rehman Locks Horns With PTM in Waziristan

JUI-F chief zeroed in the nationalist party for trying to distance the tribal youth from Islam

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman slammed the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and Awami National Party (ANP) while addressing a rally in South Waziristan on Sunday.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) organized a peace conference in South Waziristan, which was attended by prominent leaders of the party.

Sources confirmed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman hurled arrows at PTM and ANP leaders of merged tribal areas without taking their names.

It added that Maulana said some nationalist parties in the tribal areas were trying to distance the youth from Islam but they would vigorously fight to defeat their vision.

Notably, the leftist nationalist party PTM has a stronghold in the newly amalgamated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
