Senior journalist and anchorperson Kamran Khan has advised Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz to book the whole National Security Committee (NSC) for treason after she demanded the treason trial of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan for allegedly manipulating the cipher issue.

The new audio leak of Imran Khan has unfolded a new chapter of politics in which the former premier and the then principal secretary Azam Khan were discussing the diplomatic cable or cipher. Khan had allegedly directed Azam Khan to play with the cipher issue without mentioning name of the United States (US).

Commenting on Khan’s purported audio leak, Maryam Nawaz expressed her thoughts on Twitter and said that it was not painful to know about a ‘foreign trained individual and foreign funded evil’ playing with the fate of Pakistan as he has to do this after grabbing millions of dollars for creating anarchy in the country. She added that it was quite concerning that ‘traitor Imran’ was doing his work independently and all stakeholders became spectators.

To this, Kamran Khan replied on Twitter that Maryam Nawaz should immediately lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against Imran Khan after the startling revelations as her political party is ruling the country. He added that the accused should also include the heads of the national security institutions and chief justices.

However, despite censuring the PTI chief over his alleged plan for manipulating cipher issue, the coalition government led by PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not indicate any probe as yet.
