Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has expressed his preference in the latest notification and instructed to organize all official engagements for him in the national language Urdu instead of English.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill announced the premier’s decision through his Twitter handle.
PM Khan declared that all programs, events, or ceremonies arranged for him shall be conducted in the national language.

Moreover, all speeches and statements will now be issued in the Urdu language.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that PM Imran has shared his views on opting for the Urdu language instead of English.
Previously, when PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the parliament in English in 2019, the premier didn’t appreciate the idea and termed it as an ‘insult’ to the people.
Shortly after the prime minister paid his due respect to the national language, netizens made fun of the notification that was issued in the English language.
Many Twitter users were surprised to see that the announcement for preferring the Urdu language was ironically made in English.
