PM Shehbaz Sharif will have to take a vote of confidence: Imran Khan

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will have to undergo a “test” through a vote of confidence in the National Assembly (NA).

The development by Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan comes at a time when Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has threatened to quit the coalition government at the Centre, whose votes are important to keep the current prime minister in office.

During an interview to a private television channel, when he was asked if PM Shehbaz Sharif would be asked to take a vote of confidence, Imran Khan said, “Of course we will put him through this test.”

The PTI chief said that Shehbaz Sharif had taken his test, so now his party will also take the test from the prime minister.

Imran Khan confirmed that his party will announce the details of the move at a party meeting on Sunday and will not only fully plan for the vote of confidence but “now fully prepare them in a test situation.” Other projects will also be developed to put on.”

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Imran Khan predicted that PML-Q may merge with PTI in the near future.

While giving an interview to a private TV channel, Khan said that “contesting the next general elections on the ticket of PTI will be beneficial for the leaders of Muslim League-Q.”

It should be noted that in a meeting with journalists at his residence Zaman Park on Friday, Imran Khan said that the PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi had played an important role in implementing the plan to dissolve the Punjab Assembly.
