Saad Rafique Tries Taking PM Imran Down a Peg

PML-N leader iterated that the Walled City of Lahore Authority is looking after Lahore Fort for the last 24 years

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique tried to humiliate Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan after the premier shared some of the glimpses of the Lahore Fort after its restoration.

Lahore Fort, rebuilt in the 17th century, is located at the northern end of the walled city and spreads over an area of more than 20 hectares.

It contains 21 notable monuments representing Mughal architecture some of which date to the era of Emperor Akbar.

Adjacent to the northern boundary of the fort lies Minar-e-Pakistan and Iqbal Park.

Crediting his government, PM Imran Khan shared some of the stupendous images of the fort and netizens praised the effort.

“Lahore Fort has been restored and preserved for our future generations”, reads the post.

PM Khan assured that his government will continue its efforts to restore all the historical places of Pakistan.

On the subject of photos shared by PM Imran on the restoration of Lahore Fort, the former Railways Minister Saad Rafique tried grabbing credit in the basket of his party.

He recalled the PML-N era of late 90s when the Walled City of Lahore Authority, an autonomous body to run the functions of the entire city, was established.

He emphasized that Imran Khan must speak the whole truth before sharing anything.
