KARACHI: Aamir Liaquat Hussain will be laid to rest without post-mortem after successful dialogues between police and the heirs of the televangelist.
Earlier, Police stopped the burial of televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain until a post-mortem examination is conducted amid suspicions of his murder.
The police department has asked Chippa’s morgue officer not to hand over Aamir Liaquat’s body to anyone even his family as an investigation was launched to ascertain the cause of the televangelist’s death.
The department warned of legal action if his body was handed over to anyone else except the concerned police officers. It was learnt that police will send Hussain’s body for post-mortem examination to find his death cause. Hussain’s tablet, mobile phone and other evidence had already been collected by the investigators.
The officials of Brigade police station will now receive Hussain’s body from the morgue.
Prior to the order, the former wife of Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Syeda Bushra Iqbal announced on Twitter that funeral prayer of her ex-husband will be offered after Friday congregation at Abdullah Shah Ghazi Masjid in Clifton and he will be laid to rest on the premises of the shrine.
She added that the heirs of Aamir Liaquat Hussain, his children including Ahmed Aamir and Dua-e-Aamir rejected to conduct post-mortem and as per their decision, their father will be laid to rest with full respect.

Yesterday, the renowned TV show host and a dissident Member of the National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away in Karachi.
Aamir Liaquat Hussain was reportedly found dead in his bedroom. Amir Liaquat Hussain was rushed from his house in Khudadad Colony to Aga Khan Hospital near Stadium Road where the hospital management confirmed his death.
Earlier, Hussain had expressed his mental stress after his separation from his third wife and announced to leave the country.
