Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) became the first political party to hold a rally in a Balochistan district amid security threats, leading its warm-up public gatherings ahead of the long march to Islamabad.
Despite facing security threats after terrorist attacks in Balochistan’s Panjgur and Nushki districts, PPP showed courage to hold a public gathering in Naseerabad district on Sunday. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated the announcement of a long march from Karachi to Islamabad on February 27.

After terrorist attacks on security forces’ camps, PPP became the first party to take the bold step of holding a public gathering. Not a single political party had decided to organise any power show nor did their leaders show their presence in the terrorism-hit province.
During the rally, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that PPP long march would prove democracy revenge against the ‘selected’ government and said that the time has arrived for Prime Minister Imran Khan to start panicking and surrendering himself before the nationals for accountability.

While slamming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government, the PPP chairman said that inflation and unemployment have risen to their peak during the incumbent government. He appealed to the nationals to back PPP for the betterment of the country.
“اب سلیکٹڈ حکومت کے گھبرانے کا وقت ہوچکا ہے کیونکہ پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کا لانگ مارچ ملک کے عوام کے معاشی اور جمہوری حقوق پر ڈالے جانے والے ڈاکے کا حساب لینے کیلئے 27 فروری کو کراچی سے اسلام آباد کیلئے نکلے گا۔”

The time will show the result of PPP’s bold step in Balochistan, however, no other political party took such a step to show solidarity with the people of the province suffering from the deteriorated peace situation.
