PPP Goes on to Foster Relations with Hamza, Shehbaz Sharif
Hamza Shehbaz also seems convinced of PPP's suggested political course and trying to ensconce himself in an abrupt political scenario.
In a bid to continue parliamentary politics to give tough time to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government after widening distance with PDM, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is fostering relations with Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Hamza Shehbaz and his father Shehbaz Sharif.
The parties in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) have turned against PPP after the election of Senate opposition leader in which the Yousaf Raza Gillani received votes from Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), which is part of the ruling alliance.
PDM issued show-cause notices to the PPP and Awami National Party (ANP) on deviating from promises for bypassing PML-N and taking the government-backed party’s support to occupy the office of the Senate opposition leader.
PDM had decided to part ways with the PPP and ANP, and form a new alliance of five opposition parties having 27 members in the Senate. The decisions were taken at a meeting of senators of five opposition parties sans PPP and ANP held on Friday last week.

Ever since PML-N defacto Head Maryam Nawaz has fallen sick, PPP has taken the opportunity to foster relations with Hamza Shehbaz.
Meanwhile, Hamza Shehbaz also seems convinced to run elbows with PPP as he is probably against the hostile mode of politics prevalent in Maryam Nawaz’s mood.
In the last week of March, Hamza Shehbaz met his father at Kot Lakhpat Jail. The meeting continued for more than two hours. Sources said that Shehbaz Sharif barred his son to comment on ongoing rift between PPP and PML-N.
The outcome of the meeting was that Hamza refrained from speaking against PPP when other PDM leaders and even his cousin lampooned the party after recent developments.
However, Hamza Shehbaz has chosen to stay silent on multiple occasions even while running by-election campaign in NA-75 Daska in the absence of Maryam Nawaz. He is in contact with PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto and trying to ensconce himself in an abrupt political scenario.
