PPP, main ally of PDM, starts preparations for elections

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has issued instructions for the preparations for the general elections.

According to the sources, Bilawal Bhutto, Chairman of the People’s Party, the main ally of the federal government, discussed the decision of the Supreme Court with the party leaders at Zardari House Lahore.

In the meeting with the party leaders, the general elections and the future political situation in both the provinces were discussed. Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto instructed the leaders to prepare for the election.

The Muslim League-Nun, the major party included in the PDM alliance, has not yet come out with a clear position regarding the provincial election, but the League-Nun wants to escape from the election.

The main party of the coalition government of Muslim League-Nun (PP) has clearly announced that it is going to enter the field for the provincial elections in view of the decision of the Supreme Court.

According to the sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the parliamentary board of the PPP will finalize the names of the candidates for the election, but the sincere workers of the party will deserve the tickets.

PPP Chairman said that he cannot comment or analyze the decision of the Supreme Court at present, but our party is fully prepared for the general elections after 3 months or whenever.

The PPP chief has also given orders to the chiefs of all the wings of the party to be ready for the upcoming election, while the paperwork has also been completed within a week.

Sources say that the Non-League is thinking that any legal steps should be taken against the court decision. A strategy will also be made against arbitrary judges in the bench.

Sources said that the Non-League claims that some elements of the establishment are still supporting Imran Khan, which will raise questions about the impartiality of the judiciary and the establishment.
