PPP, PTI Gird up Loins in The Run For Karachi

The contest where Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are in a run for Karachi has moved to the next stage.
The ruling parties in Sindh and center respectively have gird up their loins for the megacity weeks after PTI won elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) after forming governments in the provinces besides Sindh.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Karachi today along with federal ministers.

The premier will meet his party lawmakers from Sindh and the leaders of coalition partners.
Besides this, Imran Khan will also take briefings on various development projects in Karachi and the province under the center.
The visit is being deemed as part of PTI’s anti-PPP campaign in Sindh province.
On the other hand, PPP is also slogging away to give a tough time to PTI in the run for Karachi.
The activism by new Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab is being seen as an outcome of it.
Since assuming the charge, Murtaza Wahab has visited different areas of the metropolis and has assured the masses that basic changes would be visible in a few days.
He has announced to make new recreational spots in Karachi and on its outskirts besides the promises of cleanliness, resolution of water scarcity issue, better transportation facilities, and rehabilitation of roads.

PTI has converged its focus on Karachi soon after emerging as a federation party after recent elections in GB and AJK.
It has the highest number of MNAs from the metropolis but PPP is at the helm in Sindh province.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also taken measures besides appointing a political adviser on the affairs of Sindh, new development projects in rural areas, and inclusion of influential politicians to pave way for the ouster of PPP from the province in the next general elections.
