Proposal Girl Decides Not to Climb Down, Boy Tenders Apology

Both students were suspended by the University of Lahore management and they have been barred from entering the institution’s premises

The viral video of two university students’ open-love-confession, due to which both of them have been expelled by institute, garnered a mixed reception but the girl, identified as Hadiqa Javaid, decides not to climb down.

A video on the internet went viral on Friday where a female student sank to her knees and proposed to a male student. Following the nod, the couple hugged each other.

Both students were suspended by the University of Lahore management and they have been barred from entering the institution’s premises.

A number of celebrities and prominent personalities became vocal in support of university students.

However, on the other hand, a few people were of opinion that the 27-seconds video clip of university students is ballyhoo.

Whereas, Hadiqa Javaid posted another video on social media and claimed that the previous one was not a publicity stunt.

In the latest video, Hadiqa shared a few more intimate moments with her boyfriend and maintained that the sort of affinity is normal for them.

Contrastingly, the boy Shehryar Rana tendered a public apology for expressing love publicly.

“I want to say that in this case the whole mistake was mine and I am sorry for all this”, Shehryar admitted.

He further maintained that people in Pakistan are labeling Hadiqa characterless just because of her gender.

“She has just expressed her feelings in front of everyone, after this, all mistake was mine so you can call me characterless”.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry also stood in support of the couple and penned down a few lines for expelled students.

“Islam gives rights to women. Marriage of choice is central to these rights. University administration should reconsider its decision”, the lawmaker maintained.

As reported in daily Jang, the couple has tied the knot but upon contact, none of them agreed to respond.
