Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has finally executed its long-announced “Do Not Call Register (DNCR)” that provides support to avoid unnecessary and unwanted telemarketing calls and messages.
It has been a common occurrence in Pakistan to receive displeasing and annoying messages by telemarketers daily.
These messages can get on people’s nerves and infuriate the recipients.
However, PTA has announced in a post to ease the trouble and has shared how to block unwanted and unpleasing telemarketing messages through registration on DNCR.

The subscribers can block the messages in few simple steps. Users can type ‘reg” and send SMS to 3627.
“To block spamming, type spammer’s number, give a space, paste the received message and SMS to 9000”.
“To block obnoxious/unknown calls and SMSs, dial *420# or 420”, as provided by PTA.
The important fact lies here is how these telemarketing companies are getting hold of the private and sensitive information.
