Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders criticised outgoing Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s farewell speech. Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said the growing middle class and internet access have changed the ground rules.

Fawad Chaudhry said in a Twitter message, “Establishment needs to realise 66% of Pakistan population is under 28, growing middle class and internet access has changed the ground rules, close door rules have become redundant course correction is the way forward.

He said, “Establishment role is important but sovereignty belongs to the people.”

Shireen Mazari wrote, “Now herein lies a serious problem bec by countering this view one runs risk of abduction, torture or worse. BUT fact is US conspiracy was real & cipher is evidence of it. So please allow an alternative view presented with data. Also time to release cipher for nation to decide.”

It should be remembered that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had said in his farewell address at the General Headquarters (GHQ) that the Pakistan Army had reformed itself by deciding to end interference in politics in February, now the political parties will also have to reform themselves.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had said that by making a fake and false narrative, chaos was created in the country and then an escape was chosen. He also said how can the army remains silent on a foreign conspiracy as it is a big sin.
