Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to arrive in Karachi this week as the suspicion of horse-trading in Sindh escalates after it laid bare that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has contacted MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for making them switch loyalties in the impending Senate elections.
Prime Minister Imran will reach Karachi on Saturday and meet Governor Sindh Imran Ismail as well MPAs of the Sindh Assembly before impending Senate elections to prevent the switch of loyalties.
Sources told News360 that PTI Sindh MPAs are disgruntled with the party and willing to vote for PPP in the upcoming Senate elections.
The premier has learned that PTI’s legislators are aggrieved with the party and willing to vote for Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the upcoming Senate elections.
Sources told News360 that PTI Sindh MPAs have been in contact with the PPP leadership and the party’s co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto is carving ways to get their votes.
Therefore, not only PTI’s but the MPAs of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) have gained importance too.
Sources told News360 that Sindh and central leaderships of PTI are dismayed by the developing situation.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has also come into play and has asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene.
News360 has also learned that some seven PTI lawmakers of the Sindh Assembly did not attend a recent meeting chaired by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
The governor warned all present MPAs that they got votes in the name of Imran Khan and they should not switch their loyalties in the upcoming Senate elections.
He added that the votes of the lawmakers were entrusted with the party.
Governor pointed out that PTI leadership has received information from well-placed sources that many of its MPAs were contacted by PPP.

He added that it is due to this reason that the government wanted to conduct elections of the upper house through the open ballot.
Therefore, Prime Minister Imran Khan will reach Karachi on Saturday and meet MPAs to address their reservations.
Meanwhile, PTI MPA Shehriyar Khan Shar has denied all prevailing rumors and said that he would vote for the party in the impending Senate elections.
