PTI’s Woes in Sindh Continue as MPA Resigned

PTI's Sindh MPA resigned

PTI’s woes in Sindh continue even after the Senate elections as MPA Malik Shehzad Awan resigned from his seat over the selection of candidate in NA-249 constituency Karachi.

The seat of Baldia Town had become vacant after Faisal Vawda resigned from it after becoming a Senator.

Now, PTI has nominated Amjad Khan Afridi as the candidate in NA-249 by-poll scheduled on April 29.

In reaction, PTI’s Malik Shehzad Awan, who was elected as MPA from PS-116 Karachi, resigned and sent his resignation letter to Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh.

The lawmaker maintained that PTI’s candidate chosen for by-poll was weak and they were likely to lose.

Malik Shehzad Awan questioned on what basis was the ticket given to a person who had previously lost Union council and provincial assembly elections. He wrote that the whole country was eyeing NA-249 election.
