In this regard, Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass announced the implementation of a uniform curriculum and shared a notification from the education department on his Twitter handle.

The government is hopeful that the uniform system would end disparity in society and promote equity.

On the other hand, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said the uniform curriculum in federal government educational institutions would be enforced in phases.

It will be enacted for grade-5 from August and will be effective from grade-6 to intermediate from next year.

Notably, the vision of a single curriculum was envisioned by Prime Minister Imran Khan and he has mentioned implementing it on several occasions.

Fulfilling Khan’s call, the PTI-led government in Punjab was able to strategize it after years of struggle.
