Acquittal of Dr. Yasmin Rashid from local court of Lahore, Punjab Police’s shenanigans continue

Judge of Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore has ordered release of PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid in Corps Commander attack case on basis of lack of evidence. will file an appeal against acquittal, police have complete evidence against them. Legal experts say that after acquittal of Dr. Yasmin Rashid, IG Punjab said that police have all evidence against him, if there was evidence, why did they not take it to court, so that his acquittal would be possible.

On Saturday, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid was produced by the police before Special Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abhar Gul Khan for physical remand.

During the hearing, the lawyer of PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid told the court that the name was registered in the case in the light of the statements of the accused against my client.

On this, the Punjab Police requested the judge of the special court to recover the mobile phone from Yasmeen Rashid and also conduct a photographic test, so Yasmeen Rashid should be physically remanded.

Judge Abhar Gul Khan dismissed the request of the Punjab Police and discharged Dr. Yasmin Rashid from the Jinnah House attack case.

Summary of press conference of IG Punjab

Yesterday, while holding a press conference against the acquittal of Dr. Yasmin Rashid, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Awan said that he will challenge the acquittal of Yasmin Rashid in the High Court.

The IG Punjab said that on May 8 and 9, the data of which leader made how many calls for the attack on Jinnah House has been collected. He said that 215 calls were made from the mobile phones of Yasmin Rashid, Hammad Azhar, Mahmood Al Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and Aslam Iqbal. Yasmin Rashid made 41 calls.

Dr. Usman Anwar Awan said that the police were not allowed to present forensic evidence, on the contrary, Dr. Yasmin Rashid was acquitted.

Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman’s response

Reacting to the acquittal of Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Chairman PTI Imran Khan released a message on the social media website Twitter and said, “Now that Dr. Yasmin Rashid has been charged with arson in the residence of Corps Commander Lahore. If he has been declared absolutely innocent, then this clearly means that (Dr. Yasmin Rashid) as the President of Central Punjab and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as a party have absolutely no role in this encirclement.

Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf has further written that “the entire crackdown against Tehreek-e-Insaf was done under the guise of the justification that the Tehreek-e-Insaf had planned violent acts. This narrative has now really been blown.”

Punjab Police’s response to Imran Khan’s statement

On the other hand, the audio and video report of the Punjab Forensic Laboratory has also come out. According to the report, Yasmeen Rashid was present at the spot at the time of Hanah House attack.

“The court order will be challenged, as the police was not given an opportunity to present forensic evidence in the case. The court order will be finalized after the High Court’s order,” the Punjab Police added in its statement. reserves the right to investigate the case and bring the truth to the public.”

Commenting on the acquittal of Dr. Yasmin Rashid and the press conference of IG Punjab, legal experts say that when the Punjab Police arrested the leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf, they used to collect all the evidence, because every arrested accused was brought before the court. So it has to be done in every situation. But in the current situation, it seems that the police reached the court without evidence, and then what was bound to happen, the court ordered the release of Dr. Yasmeen Rashid due to lack of evidence.

Legal experts said that later IG Punjab is also holding a press conference, then the forensic report also comes, what were the brothers doing earlier. The main problem of the police is that they arrest the person on the order of the above but do not collect the evidence and then the person is easily acquitted by the court, and this is what happened in this case as well.
