In Gujrat, people are deeply worried as 800,000 cusecs of water released from India is expected to reach the Chenab River by this afternoon.
Villagers in Kot Ghulam, which lies close to the riverbank, are especially fearful.
The distraught people said that the breaches caused by the flooding a day earlier have still not been repaired.
The flood-hit people said that last time, four-foot-high floodwater entered their homes, sweeping away animals and bringing down many houses.
Locals complained that no relief was provided by the administration. They also appealed for urgent steps to be taken to protect them from the approaching flood.
