Crackdown against PTI in Islamabad and Lahore; Many arrested including Hassan Niazi, Imran Khan condemns

Islamabad and Lahore police have started crackdown against PTI since last night, in which several members including Imran Khan's nephew Hassan Niazi have been detained, Condemning Imran Khan, he said that innocent children have also been arrested

Islamabad and Punjab Police have detained several leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf, including former Prime Minister’s nephew Hasan Niazi, in various operations since late at night.

Various operations by the police in Islamabad and Lahore since late at night have detained many members of Tehreek-e-Insaf, including former MPs and nephews of Imran Khan.

Former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry called the arrest of Hassan Niazi unacceptable. The police have arrested Hasan Niazi from the court premises despite being on protective bail.

After Chairman PTI Imran Khan announced a rally in Minar Pakistan on March 22, the police cracked down on the leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf on a large scale overnight.

There are reports of many PTI workers being arrested in police raids. During the raid at Anjum Tanuli’s house in Islamabad, his 10-year-old nephew was detained but later released.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan says that fascism is at its peak in Islamabad where police are raiding houses without warrants to arrest our workers.

He said that where the workers are not present in the houses, children up to 10 years old are being picked up. They demanded immediate release of all our workers and their children who have been abducted.

In Islamabad, the police arrested the father of PTI leader Nauman Gujjar. PTI activist Raja Shahid was also arrested during the raid at his shop while Liaquat Tori was arrested from Phulgaran.

The houses of Raja Khurram Nawaz and Ali Muhammad Khan of PTI were also raided in Islamabad while Chaudhry Umar Talib’s brother Chaudhry Umeer and his servant were arrested during the raid at the residence of PTI.

The spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Insaf said that Senator Shibli Faraz harassed his family members and employees during the raid in Islamabad. The Chairman expressed his concern over the incident and directed the MP to sanctify himself.

PTI leader Musrat Jamshed Cheema also claimed that the police raided his residence and arrested the staff. He said that the staff present at our house were abducted by the police without any warrant.

He said that the police have also broken the cameras in the house and had taken away the belongings, it seems that the rioters have spoken. They claimed that the police have come to arrest me.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said in his video message that at this time in Islamabad and Lahore, not one, two, dozens but hundreds of PTI workers have been raided and arrested.

He said that IG Islamabad and Punjab are inviting divine punishment, 10, and 10-year-old children have been detained, women have been tortured, chador and four walls have been violated.
