Jahangir Tareen’s son Ali Tareen’s wonderful gift to students of South Punjab

Ali Khan Tareen, son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and well-known businessman Jahangir Tareen, has started the “Tareen Oxford Scholarship” for youth of South Punjab.

Oxford Pakistan Program (OPP) has announced latest Oxford Scholarship which will provide educational funds for graduate students from South Punjab who do not have financial resources.

Ali Tareen has said in a message on Twitter that young leaders are needed for a positive change in a poor area like South Punjab and this is the reason why we started Tareen Oxford Scholarship.

Ali Tareen added in his message that every applicant for Tareen Oxford Scholarship will be asked how they plan to give back to their region.

Jahangir Tareen’s son thanked Kellogg College Oxford for helping him throughout the process, saying Kellogg is one of most progressive colleges in Oxford.

Tareen Oxford Scholarship will cover tuition fees and living expenses while being part of OPP’s Graduate Scholarship Program which awards three graduate scholarships to Pakistani students.

Tareen Oxford Scholarship, made possible by the generous support of Ali Tareen, an alumnus of Kellogg College, Oxford, has been established to help deserving students of South Punjab.

Students from South Punjab, a backward region of Pakistan, do not have access to scholarships abroad, but the Tareen Oxford Scholarship will play an important role in the development of scholars from South Punjab.
