Raiding police team reprimanded for not seizing Shahbaz Gill’s mobile phone
The raiding police team who had arrested PTI leader was reprimanded for seizing his mobile phone and laptop.
The raiding police team who had arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill was reprimanded for seizing his mobile phone and laptop, making it difficult for the prosecution to collect evidence against him.
Islamabad Police arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shahbaz Gill from Bani Gala Chowk on the August 9, however, the police team quickly left without recovering the mobile phone and laptop.
Sources told News360 that top police officials have reprimanded the police team that arrested Shahbaz Gul and said that arresting Gill without his mobile phone and laptop. The police felt that there was no reason left for keeping him in custody without any evidence.
Senior police officials said that Shahbaz Gill cannot be tortured nor he will not tell anything during interrogation. And if the matter drags on further, Gill case will bring more disrepute to the police.
Sources added that the police officials said that we cannot torture Shahbaz Gill because PTI’s social media team makes such strong propaganda that even lies seem to be true.
Islamabad police arrested Gill on August 9 and conducted a raid on August 11 to arrest his driver, but the driver managed to escape amid resistance from the driver’s wife and his relatives.
Sources said that during the investigation, Shahbaz Gill revealed that his mobile phone was with his driver, for the recovery of which the house of the driver was raided.
