Rana Sanaullah recommended to receive treatment abroad: sources

Rana Sanaullah has been recommended by the doctors to receive treatment abroad after his health worsens, sources told News360.

Interior Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Rana Sanaullah has been recommended by the doctors to receive treatment abroad after his health worsens, sources told News360.

Sources said that doctors advised Rana Sanaullah to travel abroad for receiving treatment as his heart rate dropped to 25% following his ailment. The physicians recommended immediately shifting the interior minister abroad for treatment. It was also learnt that the doctors expressed concerns about how Sanaullah will be prepared for travelling abroad in critical condition.

However, Sanaullah in his audio message said yesterday that he is “completely fine” and went to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) to get a “small procedure and general check-up conducted” which the doctors said was “necessary”.

The interior minister said that he had a heart surgery in 2004 due to which a minor procedure and a general checkup were needed every few years. The minister added that he visited the hospital “two to three times this year” because of this.

Sana added that he would be discharged within a day or two and urged his friends to not rush to the hospital due to the restrictions.

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also clarified that there was “no truth to the speculations regarding” the home minister’s health, and he was in Rawalpindi for a “routine medical checkup”.

She detailed that Sanaullah had heart surgery 18 years ago that needed to be checked every “two to three years”.
