JUI-F and BNP-M walked out of the cabinet meeting after the government approved the Reko Diq project, putting the government's unity in jeopardy.

The members of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) walked out of the cabinet meeting after the government approved the Reko Diq project, putting the government’s unity in jeopardy.

According to details, the members of JUI-F and BNP-M, the main allies of the coalition government, registered their protest against the approval of the Reko Diq project during the cabinet meeting and walked out.

Both parties expressed reservations over the lack of confidence in the legislation regarding the Reko Diq project. The federal ministers tried to convince the JUI and BNP members after the walkout.

The government admitted that the concerns of both parties are valid and amendments will be added soon.
However, JUI and BNP say that their boycott will continue until the government does not include their proposals in the agreement.

Meanwhile, a meeting of BNP senior leaders was held under the chairmanship of BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal in which the current political situation in the country was discussed.

The meeting seriously considered the option of leaving the coalition government while senior leaders have given their suggestions to the government to stay in the coalition.

The solution to the problem has always been with the Federation.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that after this amendment, the purpose of the 18th Amendment ends.

He revealed that the establishment and the previous government also wanted to scrap the 18th amendment somehow. The first brick has been taken out to demolish this building.

In response to another question, Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that our unity is based on many points, if these points are tampered with, then what is our justification for staying in this government?
