Once again, the government has dropped an inflation bomb on the low-income people and revised the prices of ghee, atta (flour), and sugar at utility stores across the country.
The prices of 95 items were revised by the federal government at utility stores, making them out of bounds for the people who earn just enough to make ends meet.
In this regard, the government has also issued a notification that has come into effect.
In response to it, the poor segment of society has stopped going to utility stores due to rising prices of essential commodities as they have lost the basic objective of providing maximum relief.
For a large scale population, utility stores serve as an affordable option as compared to open markets.
But the government has ruined the last hope and daily-use items have gone beyond the reach of a common man.
After an increase in the prices of the commodities, rates of petroleum products and electricity are also ready to take a flight.
