In connection with International Women’s Day, the women across Pakistan celebrated the day in different styles and the Aurat march were held in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi, etc.
The females staged Aurat March rally to mark woman’s day, while different sports competitions were held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The seminars and programs in line with the day were also organized in different educational institutions.
Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul also participated in an event at Mardan University.
Addressing the ceremony, Zartaj Gul said that the women had proved themselves in every field. She added that they were fully capable like men.
The minister said that it had now become easier for girls to work unlike past when the Taliban infringed their basic rights. A walk was also organized at the end of the event.

Further, the KP government had also organized sports tournaments at Qayyum Sports Complex in line with the day.
Aurat March for empowerment
Aurat march were held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and different areas of Pakistan where the participants gathered to seek fulfillment of various demands.
A charged participant in Lahore’s Aurat March, Takreema Urooj, chanted slogans.
The march participants chanted slogans and held placards inscribed with demands and anti-patriarchal values.

The women in Lahore gathered outside Lahore Press Club (LPC).
The Lahore chapter of Aurat March focused on the provision of facilities required for women’s health.
Meanwhile, the women activists also took to the streets in the federal capital to put forth their demands and to end gender-based injustice.
